Deny has in-depth experience advising Indonesian and international clients on a variety of projects, commercial transactions and cases. He is currently active in advising and handling anti-trust cases, state finance/treasury and currently acts as the Managing Partner of Soemadipradja & Taher.
Deny’s particular areas of focus are anti-bribery, anti-trust, general mining/oil and gas, environmental law, state finance law, administrative law and regional governments. He has acted for both Indonesian and international clients in a variety of projects and commercial transactions, and is able to call on a wide-ranging network of contacts in the Indonesian government.

WORK HIGHLIGHTS
- Advised a prominent Indonesian state–owned enterprise engaged in the tourism industry on various high–profile projects relating to the development of tourism resorts and special economic zones throughout Indonesia, including providing legal insights into project financing via offshore loans and general corporate services.
- Advised a multinational Korea–based construction company on an engineering/procurement/construction (EPC) contract for two large electricity generation power plants on the island of Java.
- Advised the Indonesian subsidiary of a prominent multinational technology company on various environmental issues relating to their business activities, including providing regulatory advice and assisting the client in applying for and obtaining the required environmental permits.
- Advised Indonesian subsidiaries of multinational corporations on anti–bribery and corruption issues.
